Purchased in August 2026 as a project car, along with a solid stash of spare parts. The Gris Argent is being fully restored and rebuilt, in its original Gris Argent 620 body colour.
This Renault 5 GT turbo was originally meant to wait its turn until after the Blanc Panda. When that restoration temporarily ground to a halt, the plan changed. Merijn and Dries decided to first find out whether they could get the engine running again after more than ten years standing still. They did.
The body is now back from the painter in Gris Argent 620, and the rebuild can begin. The new wheels and tyres have arrived, and a second visit to the upholsterer is planned for the interior to make the final calls on colour and material. After that, the Gris Argent can head step by step back toward the road.
